Jennifer Crandall is a Doctoral Student in the Social and Comparative
Analysis in Education Program at the University of Pittsburgh. Her
research interests include comparative education, education policy and
access, retention and equity in higher education. The goal of her
dissertation work is to move beyond broad racial comparisons that obscure
heterogeneity and explore the intersections of ethnicity, class and
gender.
Prior to joining the University of Pittsburgh, she was a grantee working
with associations and institutions in Russia and India on English language
teaching curriculum development and instruction. Having been involved in
education for over twenty years, she has taught in the United States,
South Korea, Nepal, and the Slovak Republic.
