IISE continues to give and make impacts to communities

Happy thanksgiving to you from IISE families around the world!

At IISE, we give thanks to communities by and through our various engagements in educational research, partnerships, and service, among others, in local, regional, national, and international contexts. These have started since the initial establishment of IISE in early 1960’s through several international programs, coordinating technical assistance and training activities throughout the school in several countries. We continue to strive as the premier university-research, technical assistance, and training institute in comparative, international education and development.

The picture is sourced from the Unicef page. In Côte d’Ivoire, school is required for all children ages 6 to 16. But due to overcrowding, more than 2 million children are missing out on their education. That’s why UNICEF is teaming up with partner Conceptos Plasticos to turn plastic waste into recycled bricks — enough to build 500 new classrooms!
