Adnan Latief

Adnan Latief was recently an Indonesian government-sponsored Visiting Scholar at IISE. He is a Professor at the Department of English Education at the University of Malang, where he has been teaching Quantitative Research Methodology, Qualitative Research Methodology, Research Statistics, and Research Methods in Linguistics. He has been involved in the National Programs in Indonesia, participating as a member of the Judges in Students Scientific Articles, and as a member of judges of Students Articles Presentations during the academic year 2004–2005. He has participated in a number of training workshops and sessions, among which are the workshop on Qualitative Research for Teaching Staff at the Universitas Katolik, and the seminar and workshop towards professional Instruction. Throughout his career, he has participated in numerous training programs, such as the Training in Contextual Teaching and Learning with C-STARS (Center for the Study and teaching of At-Risk Students) at the University of Washington; Teacher Training Workshop Profiling the ELT Teacher Trainer in SEAMEO INNOTECH, Manila, Philippines; and the Seminar and Workshop on Quality Assurance in Higher Education Enhancing Information and Building up Networks of Future Cooperation in Gajah Mada University, Indonesia. As part of his research at IISE, Dr. Latief finished a book entitled Research Methodology in Language Learning.
