Gabriela Pleschová

Pleschova is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Social and Economic Sciences at Comenius University in Bratislava, Slovakia. She also teaches at the Institute of European Studies and International Relations, and the Jean Monnet European Centre of Excellence. She served as an Erasmus Program Coordinator from 2004 to 2006. Pleschova also worked in the Slovak Ministry of Foreign Affairs and in the Slovak Foreign Policy Association. For two terms she served in the European Political Science Network (epsNet) Executive Council coordinating trainings for first-time teachers of political science.

Pleschova’s research focuses on European relations with China, Chinese migrants in Central Europe, contemporary Chinese politics, as well as issues of teaching and learning in higher education. She has received several grants including a three-year research grant from the Slovak Research and Development Agency, a two-year teaching grant from the European Social Fund, and other grants.
