Hana A. El-Ghali

Hana Addam El-Ghali is the Senior Program Coordinator for the Research, Advocacy and Public Policy-making (RAPP) program at the Issam Fares Institute for Public Policy and International Affairs at the American University of Beirut (AUB). Dr. El-Ghali is also a Consultant with the World Bank's Center for Mediterranean Integration (CMI) looking at pressing issues in higher education policy in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA). She serves as a consultant for several international agencies on education policy issues. In 2012, she received a Fulbright grant to the University of Georgia. She received her Ph.D. in Administrative and Policy Studies with a focus on Social and Comparative Analysis in Education from the University of Pittsburgh. Dr. El-Ghali also serves as the MENA region co-editor for the Comparative and International Higher Education, the journal for the Higher Education Special Interest Group of the Comparative and International Education Society. Prior to returning to Beirut, she was a co-instructor of comparative higher education at the University of Pittsburgh.
