Lanyan Qin is an Assistant Professor at Xiangnan University, China. She is currently serving as a visiting scholar at the Institute for International Studies in Education (IISE), University of Pittsburgh. Her faculty counterpart at the University of Pittsburgh is Prof. Anthony Petrosky and her current research project is “A Comparative Study of Teacher Education in China and in the US.” She got her master’s degree in Higher Education Management from Wuhan University in 2006. She has more than 10 years of teaching experience in the School of Education at Xiangnan University. She has taught several courses such as Education Principle, Teaching Methods, and Curriculum and Teaching. Her academic interests include comparative education, pedagogy, higher education with a focus on teacher education.
