Meiyi Song

Meiyi is a teaching & learning consultant and instructional designer at the University Center for Teaching and Learning, University of Pittsburgh. She designs and facilitates faculty development workshops, as well as helps faculty in curriculum design and online course design and implementation. She also trains workshop facilitators on various topics in pedagogy. Prior to joining the University Center for Teaching and Learning, Meiyi had worked as a Faculty Development Specialist for five years and an Assistant Professor of Chinese for three years at the Defense Language Institute (DLI) in California.

Meiyi is a doctoral student at the School of Education. Her research interests include growth mindset development, teaching international students, and faculty development. She holds a M.S.Ed. degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages from the University of Pennsylvania. She also received a M.A. degree in Instructional Design and Technology from the California State University at Monterey Bay.
