Ransom Tanyu Ngenge

Ransom Tanyu Ngenge: Ransom is a visiting graduate student at the Institute for International Studies in Education (IISE), School of Education, University of Pittsburgh. Tanyu’s multidisciplinary approach and international experience make him a valuable addition to the IISE community. He is conducting research on “A Review of the Higher Education Policies in the CEMAC Sub-Region: Lessons from the American System” with the guidance and support of his faculty counterpart, Professor Jill Alexa Perry.

Educational background 

Tanyu’s academic journey is marked by a commitment to excellence and a passion for research. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Political Science with a Minor in History from the University of Buea, Cameroon, earned in August 2016. His pursuit of knowledge led him to the University of Bergen, Norway, where he obtained a Master of Philosophy in Public Administration in June 2020. Continuing his academic trajectory, he completed a Master of Arts in International Security Management at the Berlin School of Economics and Law in October 2022. Currently, he is on the path to completing a Doctor of Philosophy in Political and Administrative Sciences from the Pedagogical University of Krakow, Poland, with an expected completion date of September 2024. 

Research and publication  

Tanyu’s commitment to research is evident in his extensive list of publications, which range from book chapters to peer-reviewed journal articles, policy and research papers, and blog posts. His publications demonstrate his ability to contribute meaningfully to academic discourse. Tanyu is also the founder of Africa Online & Publications Library, a social enterprise with the objective of digitally preserving and facilitating access to higher education research material in Africa.
