Xia Wang, PhD

Xia Wang is an associate professor in Mudanjiang Normal University, China. She is currently serving as a Visiting Scholar at the Institute for International Studies in Education (IISE) at the University of Pittsburgh. Her faculty counterpart at the University of Pittsburgh is Professor Linda DeAngelo and her current research project is “A Comparative Study of General Education between American and Chinese Colleges and Universities from the Perspective of Pathways, Contents and Policies.”

She works on the frontline of teaching and management in China, drawing up the program for the cultivation of students’ talents, reforming in teaching and curriculum, monitoring teaching quality, preparing for the national assessment for teaching level and having many experiences in carrying out educational activities.
