Yushan Zhu, PhD

Dr. Yushan Zhu is an associate professor at School of Education Jiangsu Normal University, China. He is currently serving as a Senior Visiting Scholar at the Institute for International Studies in Education (IISE) at the University of Pittsburgh. His faculty counterpart at the University of Pittsburgh is Professor Jean Ferketish and his current research project is “A Comparative Study on Social Participation in University Governance between China and USA.”

Yushan Zhu received his PhD degree in higher education from Nanjing University where he also received his Master degree in higher education. He earned his B.S. in Biology at Jiangsu Normal University. He serves as a faculty member at Jiangsu Normal University where he teaches courses, conduct research and guide master students. His research field covers university governance, higher education management, teaching quality. He has received several funded projects including Project of Humanities and Social Sciences Research of Chinese Ministry of Education, Project of the 12th,13thFive-year Plan of Education Science of Jiangsu Provence, Project of 12thFive-year Plan of Association of Higher Education of Jiangsu Provence. Dr. Zhu has published more than 20 journal articles and book chapters in recent years.
