This Fall, we have Nisrein and Tetsuya joining IISE team! 

Nisrein Hajaj is a graduate student in M.Ed. program at School of Education. She has a BA degree in Early Childhood Education from Jordan and worked as Kindergarten teacher overseas. Nisrein is currently enrolled in the Social and Comparative Analysis in Education (SCAE) program. She hopes to work in higher education in the future focusing on international and global aspects of education. 

Tetsuya Yamada is an IT intern at IISE. He is a Ph.D. student in Social and Comparative Analysis in Education, School of Education, at the University of Pittsburgh. Tetsuya's main research interest is the social benefits of education (e.g., civic and political outcomes) in low-income countries. His research analyzes educational big data, using advanced quantitative methods. Tetsuya has worked extensively for educational development projects in grass-root NGOs in Kenya, Myanmar, and Nepal for over five years. He received MA (Distinction) in International Education and Development from the University of Sussex. He currently serves as a board member of Sarthak Shiksha, a Nepal-based educational NGO.
